Since I have started my 1:1 sessions with Denise I am discovering a side to me I didn't know I had, a better self awareness. I have always been the type to put others before myself and have often felt guilty the few times my needs/wants were put first.
Denise is helping me to re-establish some selfcare. I volunteer with a local charity and often on a day out with them my joints would ache and I would be pain.
Now I finish a day volunteering with no aches and greater sense of achievement and pride in myself.
Denise listens, I mean really listens, no judgement and adapts sessions as needed to any situation that arises. I have scoliosis and she regularly checks in with me to see how new exercises are going and to see if any adjustments are needed
As a newly diagnosed peri-menopausal woman, Denise's insights and advice have been very reassuring.

I now have a number of different flexible, focused strength and development training programmes; shes enabled me to find a new confidence and sense of freedom in the gym. I have been training with Denise for just over a year and the difference in my strength is amazing. I used to be a gym regular, but I clearly wasn't doing the exercises I really needed to be doing - rather the exercises that I was better at!
Denise fully understands and tailors the exercises to my hyper-mobility, and my weaknesses (both physical AND mental) and holds me accountable.
I had decided I would always have a weak core, because that was part and parcel of hyper-mobility, but I was wrong, and with Denise's guidance I actually have supporting muscles that do what they are supposed to!
She is also super understanding of my stressful teacher life, and adapts the exercises to my energy levels while still making sure I progress. I also talk her ear off while training which she puts up with like a saint e my sessions are now a true highlight of my week.
